Service Internships with International Schools Consortium

Are you interested in seeing what it’s like to live and work overseas? iSC offers 1-2 week service internships to give you short-term experience of teaching in China. We will provide rent free housing, local tours, and the opportunity to assist our international school staff as a teacher aide, tutor, or serving students and staff with classroom support. You will live with our staff in school owned housing in the local community.

The program runs from September 1- June 5 and is designed for undergraduate or graduate students interested in teaching overseas and working toward teacher certification in any subject or grade PreK- 12. Your experience can be adjusted to meet observation or other requirements your university may have for you.

Local costs are estimated to be $175 USD for two weeks in China, plus $1,500 USD for visa and airfare. Airfare does fluctuate depending on the time of year. A limited number of $500 grants are available for those who meet some simple but important qualifications.
